The promise of a sunrise upon the Church at the end of the Church age is given in the last chapter of the Old Testament by the prophet Malachi. It is a time of great healing for those that revere and esteem the name of Jesus.
It also is a time of great pressure that will burn like an oven to refine the souls of men unto righteousness. The rays of this Sun of Righteousness will bring divine order to one's spirit, soul, and body with the result of bringing great, great healings.
Jesus and His glory are the Sun of Righteousness. Jesus is the light of the world. His light is the very essence of His nature.
Many times Jesus revealed to His disciples that He was literally a sun.
Jesus shines like the sun because He radiates light like the sun. The Son is a Sun. The Apostle Paul beheld Jesus' sunlight while traveling the road to Damascus. After the Lord appeared to him, he said,
The apostle John beheld Jesus sunlight while imprisoned on the Isle of Patmos. "
The rising of the Sun of Righteousness speaks of His manifest glory being restored to earth. This glory precedes His literal coming. The prophet Isaiah saw this glory rising at the end of the Church age.
This glory shall first be seen on individuals as the Lord chooses. Then it will be seen on the Church as a corporate Body. The sunlight of the Sun of Righteousness enables one to walk in a righteousness that is not of this world. It's a light and a righteousness that gets the attention of the kings of this world.
It will happen while darkness covers the earth, a darkness that will gradually be done away with by Jesus and His Church. The sunlight of Jesus and His Church will defeat the kingdom of darkness by shining upon it.
The sunlight that shined from Jesus on the mount of transfiguration, the sunlight that left Paul blinded on the Damascus road, the sunlight John saw on the Isle of Patmos will eventually enlighten the whole world as Jesus comes back to claim His kingdom.
When will this glorious sunlight be seen on individuals and the Church? We don't know. Just as with Jesus' literal coming, no one knows the day or the hour. Jesus always comes at a time when we think not. We must always be ready.
But we can discern the season. Considering the condition of the world, with its need for genuine salvation, that season may be now or the near future. The whole redemptive plan is purposed for one goal. That is His second coming when:
It will all end wonderfully. Look to the Lord to share His glory with you, thus bringing His love, life, and light to your fellow man. "Jesus the Sun" and "Jesus the Son" are coming soon with healing in their / His rays.
Be joyful with the hope, the Sun of Righteousness will shine on us and through us to a needy Church and a sin-darkened world.

Why is it so difficult for our educators and society, in general, to understand that love and respect for one another taught from a young age can solve much of the world's hostility and social problems!
"Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it" (Prov 22:6).
Love is the answer!
True loyalty springs from the heart and is wrapped in love. It is often in our most private moments that true loyalty, or the lack of it, is made known.
