"So Jacob served seven years for Rachel, and
they seemed only a few days to him because of the love he had for her."
(Gen 29:20).
Christian love is not a natural preference that squanders itself upon those for whom some affinity is discovered. Love seeks the welfare of all, and works no ill to any.

Scriptures on Love
From the Song of Solomen
Song of Sol 8:4-8:
"I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem,
Do not stir up nor awaken love
Until it pleases.
Who is this coming up from the wilderness,
Leaning upon her beloved?
I awakened you under the apple tree.
There your mother brought you forth;
There she who bore you brought you forth.
Set me as a seal upon your heart,
As a seal upon your arm;
For love is as strong as death,
Jealousy as cruel as the grave;
Its flames are flames of fire,
A most vehement flame.
Many waters cannot quench love,
Nor can the floods drown it.
If a man would give for love
All the wealth of his house,
It would be utterly despised."
Song of Sol 1:2:
"Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth
— for your love is more delightful than wine."
Song of Sol 4:10:
"How fair is your love,
My sister, my spouse!
How much better than wine is your love,
And the scent of your perfumes
Than all spices!"
Song of Sol 8:6-7:
"Set me as a seal upon your heart,
As a seal upon your arm;
For love is as strong as death,
Jealousy as cruel as the grave;
Its flames are flames of fire,
A most vehement flame."
Many waters cannot quench love,
Nor can the floods drown it.
If a man would give for love
All the wealth of his house,
It would be utterly despised."
Prov 5:19: "As a loving deer and a graceful doe,
Let her breasts satisfy you at all times;
And always be enraptured with her love."
Prov 13:24: "He who spares his rod hates his son,
But he who loves him disciplines him promptly."
Prov 15:17: "Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, Than a fatted calf with hatred."
Prov 17:9: "He who covers a transgression seeks love,
But he who repeats a matter separates friends."
Prov 17:17: "A friend loves at all times,
And a brother is born for adversity."
Prov 30:18-19: "There are three things
which are too wonderful for me,
Yes, four which I do not understand:
The way of an eagle in the air,
The way of a serpent on a rock,
The way of a ship in the midst of the sea,
And the way of a man with a virgin."

Why is it so difficult for our educators and society, in general, to understand that love and respect for one another taught from a young age can solve much of the world's hostility and social problems!
"Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it" (Prov 22:6).
Love is the answer!
True loyalty springs from the heart and is wrapped in love. It is often in our most private moments that true loyalty, or the lack of it, is made known.
