"I Am Nothing Without  Jesus"

Hi, my name is Lena. I grew up a very angry child, but did well throughout the years and graduated early.

For about seven years I drove by this apostolic church. I had never heard about apostolic or Pentecostal. Later, on I ended up going to prison for three years. I got out and met my husband, and he started taking me to this same apostolic church I had been by years before. I never experienced any of this before, and it was so new and different.

He was Working on My Heart

I had been Catholic all my life and had never witnessed something like this. I would continue to go to church by myself even if my husband was at work. I remember sitting in a service, and the evangelist was speaking about Ez and making your story heart a heart of flesh. I remember my chest just burning, and I felt a lot of discomfort in my chest. It took about three years later for God to reveal to me that at that moment He was working on my heart.

You see I was a VERY mean individual, and I hadn't really cried for like six years. Slowly but surely God was dealing with me and making me more and more sensitive to Him. We ended up having a daughter, and she was dedicated to the church. My husband and I were in and out of the church. We did a lot of craziness and went thru so much junk. I lost my mind, I saw and heard things that weren't there, my husband was bound. So, we really went thru it.

Nothing Without Jesus

At one point We were separated for over a year because I stabbed him three times, I was looking at 10-30 years of prison time, I was in jail for six months, and when I got out, we were on the brink of divorce. He ended up having a heart attack, and he was dead for 8 minutes, but he made it and is alive and well today.

He is no longer bound, his heart is doing much better, and GOD has completely RESTORED our marriage. We are living 100% for God. We have a beautiful apartment, God has blessed us with a beautiful car, I have an amazing job, and about two days before Christmas my 6-year-old daughter was baptized in the name of JESUS!!!!!

If only my husband and I had listened to our pastor, we wouldn't have gone thru all this stuff. But if we didn't then, we wouldn't be who we are today. I AM NOTHING WITHOUT JESUS!!!!

Why is it so difficult for our educators and society, in general, to understand that love and respect for one another taught from a young age can solve much of the world's hostility and social problems!
