"Humility and Love"

I believe that (almost) every person would like to see peace & prosperity prevail in this world ... the old song says it all...

"What the world needs now is love, sweet love 
It's the only thing that there's just too little of 
What the world needs now is love, sweet love, 
No not just for some but for everyone...."

However, there is a prevalent influence in many people that upsets love... PRIDE.

The word pride has attached to it a very dire warning. Pride Comes Before the Fall.

This phrase/quote originated in Scripture, Prov 16:18: Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. (Amplified Bible) & throughout history (& many, many stories in the Bible) this has been the case.

Pride is a "big factor" in today's life on earth, with constant encouragement from many sources to "be a success" ..."Look what I did", etc., etc. but sadly as evidenced by the horrific level of hurtful activity in the world, those with a focus on their pride also have a focus on themselves. But  ... Pride Comes Before the Fall.

Humility & Love

We are however given guides for "success in life" ..... humility & love ....1 Corinthians 13:4 Love endures long {and} is patient and kind; love never is envious {nor} boils over with jealousy, is not boastful {or} vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.

1 Cor 13:5 Love is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) {and} does not act unbecomingly.

Which includes showing appreciation to each other.

Unfortunately, so much of the world today is focussed on self, supposedly "achieving," taking from others, greed, thinking having assets & wealth is "success" & underlying all that is pride.

We are given a warning re this in 1 John 2:16: For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh [craving for sensual gratification] and the lust of the eyes [greedy longings of the mind] and the pride of life [assurance in one's own resources or in the stability of earthly things]--these do not come from the Father (God) but are from the world [itself].

Our world consists of Good & Evil ..... Good ...wanting the best for you when you trust & give thanks ... Evil ... wanting you to have troubles, loss, etc. the constant encouragement to trust in yourself.

In late 1989, I reached "the point" of calling out "HELP ME." (after having a "successful" life) ... I was almost a cripple with back/body pain ... doctor's advised me, "We could operate, but you may become totally crippled!" .... Help came within 30 minutes ... a friend arrived with a book of "self-help with body/back pain" .... 3 days after I followed it, not a twinge of pain since .... Twenty-nine years! A further abiding by something else I was led to about 12 months later resulted in "not even a headache or cold in over 28 years".

Genuine, loving help is available for everyone .... but for most people "pride" & deception & misguidance by others, leads people to trust themselves or others  .... & this has been the case since the world began!

Anything that anyone can do to encourage people to replace pride with love will certainly make this world a better place.

Humility and Love

"Lets Teach Our Children to Love"

Why is it so difficult for our educators and society, in general, to understand that love and respect for one another taught from a young age can solve much of the world's hostility and social problems!

"Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it" (Prov 22:6).

Love is the answer!

True loyalty springs from the heart and is wrapped in love. It is often in our most private moments that true loyalty, or the lack of it, is made known.
