"A Hindu and Christian
Talk about Jesus"

From Leena, a Hindu: United States

On 24th Dec 2003, Midnight of Christmas Eve, Jesus visited me. It was not a dream vision. I had seen the 'star of wonder' on the 24th and went to sleep.

At about midnight I opened my eyes and was a bit scared to see a very tall man wearing a parched robe and an ochre cloth belt sitting beside my futon-bedside looking at me fondly.

Instantly, I just knew it was Jesus. Then, as soon as this thought registered, He disappeared.

I am a Hindu but had reached out to Jesus while passing a Latter-Day-Saints Church a month earlier.

I know for sure that Jesus came to bless me, not to turn me into a radical "Christian" but to strengthen my faith and bhAav in the Bhagavad Geeta, the Song of God, and in Shri Krishna as the Lord of the Universe and author of Bhagavad Gita.

I continue living with Shri Krishna in the heart and know that Jesus is looking over all humanity, just as Paramatma (the Highest Spirit) is.

I have had many spiritual experiences, my life is on the spiritual path, and there is One Supreme the Source and Destination of all. I think radical Christianity (claiming itself to be the only way) was human-made, while Jesus is real.

Christian's Response

Hello Leena, thank you for sharing your wonderful experience with Jesus.

It seems He paid you a personal visit as others have  experienced, and their lives were also forever changed. See "Dreams and Visions of Jesus"

You have had a personal contact with Jesus which you will probably never forget and have recognized that He is real. The reason Jesus would visit you is to let you know He is real, that He loves you and has much more to offer.

I agree with you in saying "man-made religion is worthless;" however, you have seen for yourself that Jesus is real, and He is the One who said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me," (John 14:6).

Somewhere in the dark-ages of my life I may have felt much the same as you. I had doubts about the Life of Jesus because it seemed to be written by men.

Sure, I was aware of the fulfilled prophecies written hundreds of years before Jesus' birth saying He would be coming to earth; but had wondered if these were merely written by men, possibly even after the fact.

But then I learned of the "Dead Sea Scrolls" that were proven even by skeptic scientists to have been written before the time of Jesus and contained the same Scriptures that tell about the promised Messiah, (Christ) as did the Old Testament.

There is said to be more valid proof of the Life of Jesus than any other historical figure; and, undeniable evidence that the Old Testament prophecies were fulfilled.

Then, I began to have personal encounters with Jesus in dreams and visions, and miraculous events that were undeniable.

Jesus had plans for my life and wanted me to know the truth, and like you, I became convinced in my heart without a doubt about the reality of Jesus.

I found that Jesus is everything His Word (the Bible) says He is. Nothing and no one can convince me otherwise.

Since you seem to have an inquiring mind, and to be very intelligent and broadminded, I would like to invite you to learn more about Jesus and who He is. After all, it can't hurt anything and can only add to your knowledge.

Jesus had twelve disciples who followed Him throughout His earthly ministry. One of them proved unfaithful and when he realized his mistake, committed suicide.

The other eleven, except possibly the Apostle John, were martyred for their faith even though they were told they could live if they would only stop telling about Jesus, but they would not. These men chose to die for what they knew to be true.

I have recently completed a very straight forward and easy to understand verse by verse commentary from the Gospel of John on the day by day life and ministry of Jesus; who He is, and His purpose for temporarily leaving His home in Heaven to live on earth.

John was one of Jesus' twelve disciples; he also wrote other books of the New Testament, John 1, 2, and 3, and the Book of Revelation.

The Gospel of John is the written testimony of the Apostle John's day by day moment by moment carefully recorded experiences with Jesus. Hopefully it will soon be out in book form, but for now, you can find it on my website at

https://www.trusting-in-jesus.com/gospelofjohn.html

I believe you will find the Apostle John's testimony to be fascinating and very informative.

I want to assure you of the one thing you probably already know, and that is, Jesus loves you very much. He gave His life for those like you and me so that we can have eternal life.

I hope you can return often. I will be happy to answer any questions.

Hindu and Christian Discussion about Jesus

"Lets Teach Our Children to Love"

Why is it so difficult for our educators and society, in general, to understand that love and respect for one another taught from a young age can solve much of the world's hostility and social problems!

"Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it" (Prov 22:6).

Love is the answer!

Loyalty and Faithfulness

True loyalty springs from the heart and is wrapped in love. It is often in our most private moments that true loyalty, or the lack of it, is made known.
