"Power of Spiritual Investment"

The financial investments we make may benefit us in some means, but it will never guarantee us salvation.

Economic gains have caused many to forsake the way of the Word and to lust for the things of the world. We have seen many lives destroyed by the world.

When we invest our wealth and resources for the cause of the kingdom, our spiritual blessings will keep on increasing. The truth, regarding the secret of financial success, is that it is gained through perseverance, dignity and hard labour. 

However, the drawback behind financial success is that it can lead us to hell. We have seen so many corrupted people die in their sins, and many others who will be destroyed, if they do not repent.

I our quest for financial gains, many of our workers have become one with the world. The scripture clearly states:

• “No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one or love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money (Matt 6:24). 

The challenge that confronts us is that we serve either God or money. The decisions we make now will determine where we spend eternity. 

In the book of Hebrews, the Word of God states,

• “Keep your Lives free from the love of money and are content with what you have, because God has said. Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you (Heb 13:5). 

The promises God made in His Word will always be kept, and the pledges that we made to God will also have to be fulfilled.

The wealth and the pleasures of the world will only bring grief and destruction, but the love of God not only guarantees salvation, but it will also lead us to greater heights in the kingdom of God.

• “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and rust do not destroy and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will also be, (Matt 6:19-21).

We have often heard about the gift of salvation and the ways of the spiritual, but only a few choose the path that leads to eternal life. 

The difference between the living and the dead is that the dead will have to await judgment, while the living still has the liberty to choose between sin and righteousness.

f the wicked still thirst and hunger for the sins of the world, death, and destruction will become their ultimate enemy.

The Bible says,

• "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it," (Matt 7:13-14).

The revelation of the eternal destiny and the fate of men is clearly portrayed in the Word. It is indeed sad that many have taken the road that leads to destruction. And it is my prayer that everyone who reads this will come to the cross of Christ in repentance.

The importance of repentance is being highlighted because of the urgency of the situation. Every believer should hunger and thirst for righteousness.

Trust me, if we strive to live life to the fullest for Christ, our reward in heaven will far exceed our expectations. The investment we make in the spiritual will benefit us spiritually.

We can multiply our spiritual wealth by praying more to God and by praying for the salvation of the lost; this is our call, and it is the best way to increase our spiritual resources. The Church of Christ invests for the future as we pray for the sinners of the world.
