Psalm 34:4 I sought the Lord, and He answered me, and delivered me from my fears.

2 Chronicles 15:1  Now the Spirit of the God came on Azariah the son of Oded, and he went out to meet Asa and said to him, “Listen to me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamine; the Lord is with you when you are with Him. And if you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.

Psalm 9:10 And those who know Thy name will put their trust in Thee; For Thou, O Lord, hast not forsaken those who seek Thee.

Matthew 7:7 Ask and it shall be given to you; seek and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you.

In 2 Chronicles we find another way that God uses the Holy Spirit and it is to
bring a direct word to someone or to some nation.  When the Spirit of God came on Azariah it means that he was like a conduit in human form God sent to bring this word to Asa, nothing more nothing less. God has also been known once to use a donkey to give a message to someone. 

There is an old song that says trust and obey, there is no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey. That speaks volumes as to what trust can do and obedience as the word says is better than sacrifice.  If you seek you will find. What more can we possibly need other than a direct word from God directing our path one step at a time.

Everyone you see today has either a phone or music plugged into their ear.  Would it not be wonderful if it was plugged into the throne room and the Father was telling them of unseen things that even the world does not know of?  But oh we are so far from the Spirit of truth we may not even know the number, or how to dial it.

It is time for the mesmerized life we are living to end. We must face all truth about our self, our families and this world, in which we are being held captive and sadly unaware of it. Eternal things will not go away.  Would it not be wise to give God equal opportunity to satisfy our minds with good things?

The temporary patch we wear on a daily basis from satan keeps our minds busy, our families on the road constantly to this practice or that practice, and for what?

As a family unit we no longer know each other, we do not have time for family devotional, nor do we have a mere 15 minutes a day to spend sharing within the confines of our homes our feelings and cares to our family members. Without a loving caring family unit how can there be a church?

You may be thinking, I can’t change the whole world. That is true but you can start within yourself and allow the change, and in doing so it will bring a change in those around you. There is great power in numbers and unity that can change the course of your life and your family’s life forever. 

It is a heart choice between what is right and what is wrong that only you can make. The Holy Spirit is living within you, but He is such a gentleman that He will never force himself on you, unlike the evil one that bombards you daily with busy task and guilt,  if you do not do this or that.

You have to realize the most powerful source in this world lives in you and until you recognize this He will remain unheard and unseen in your life. I had to learn the hard way, and went around many mountains more than once.

Tap into the God given source that will bring all truths to light and in turn shut out all the darkness that tries to suffocate your life.

"Dear Father, you know my hearts better than I know myself. I desire to know the truth so that I may be free to go when you say go, to do as you ask me to, and to know that I am truly hearing from the Living God.  I thank you for opening my heart to your Spirit and truth and that I will be on target for the kingdom business at hand. I thank you God that my biggest fear is yours to deal with and in turning it over to you I know that I have the victory.

Your word says, "true love cast out fear," so today I ask you to bring me into a closer walk that I may obtain true love. I want everything you have for me, and I want to be what you created me to be in the kingdom of God. Help me to be a light to my family so that they see Jesus working in me and through me.  Help me to reach out to my true friend the Holy Spirit and develop the relationship He desires to have with me.

I praise you and thank you for giving me Jesus my Savior. In Jesus name I pray. Amen"
