Pat Hughes, the mother of two daughters and four beautiful grand children grew up and still resides in the state of Tennessee. She has been active in the work force as an office manager, has owned her own business, and is presently a broker affiliate in the real estate industry.
In her service to the Lord she has taught Sunday school, was a shut-in ministry director, a team member of The Healing Rooms, and is currently active at The Healing Center of her local church.
Pat is also an author and writes from her tender heart as her pen speaks forth.
It has been said, "If anyone could tell the shortest, surest way to happiness and perfection, he must tell you to make it a rule to thank and praise God for everything that happens to you. For it is certain that whatever seeming calamity happens to you, if you praise God for it, you turn it into blessing." (William Law, English Clergyman Eighteenth Century)
Pat's Christian articles and books are filled with rich, thought provoking ideas. All religions have their truth, as they see truth, and cannot see God as Truth beyond their concept of His true word.
Travel with Pat as she reveals and shares our Lord's unconditional love. Follow her writings to see what the Holy Spirit would have her share with you.

know When to Dust Your Feet - To know God is to know the truth. Writing from the tenderness of her heart Christian writer Pat Hughes reveals the shortest and surest way to happiness and perfection.
With the current state of the world with wars and rumors of wars along with the pestilence and diseases that are forth coming, it is highly recommended to evaluate yourself and see what your temperature currently is.
"He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. “And to the angle of the church of Laodicea write: The amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God says this:"
"I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I would that you were cold or hot. So because you are lukewarm I will spit (vomit) you out of My mouth... if anyone hears My voice and opens the door I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with My Father on His throne..." (Rev 3:13-22).
As you ponder on what has been written, do you know where you stand and what your temperature is now. Some have expressed it as straddling the fence. You who want to dabble in the spiritual and live in the world and its fast paced sin ridden lies, deception, lust and worldly gain, leaving you to be spit out of the mouth of the Lord to the destination of hell.
You may think you can drag your feet and play for a little longer, avoid commitment and true repentance because you are having too much fun to give it up. But in all honesty you are trapped by the bondage of sin who has stolen you heart of life, love, joy, peace, purity and fulfillment for a life of sin, shame, torment, bondage, adultery, idolatry, sickness and hell.
Lukewarm is a dangerous place to be today. Observe the news and the constant movement away from the law of the righteous to the law of the depraved to rule and rein over us; taking away the very rights given to us by our forefathers and our God.
You do not have to do anything other than ask God to check your heart and to help you to come into a true relationship with Him. Give Him permission, it is not a hard thing because we could never purpose in our heart to do good and remain.
But when He works in us and through us the things of old no longer have a hold on our life, we can release and take our rightful place in the kingdom of the most High God, sitting at the right Hand of the Father. Or you can do a study check on the destination of Hell and see if you like those accommodations better.
One
thing I do know and that is that we are all destined to one or the
other. Are you cold, hot, or, lukewarm destined for hell?

Why is it so difficult for our educators and society, in general, to understand that love and respect for one another taught from a young age can solve much of the world's hostility and social problems!
"Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it" (Prov 22:6).
Love is the answer!
True loyalty springs from the heart and is wrapped in love. It is often in our most private moments that true loyalty, or the lack of it, is made known.
