Follow His example (He is making me like Him) “Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am meek and lowly of heart and you shall find rest in your souls,”
Do this, and you will have a willing attitude to learn and to know what the Teacher’s will is and how to carry it out. In Your yoke Lord, You take all my burdens, concerns and cares – enabling me to walk carefree beside You on the narrow path. Thank You Lord Jesus.
As well as Saviour, Christ must be taken as Teacher. As well as the Good Shepherd, He is also daily shepherding His sheep – also, He was the Lamb Who gave His life for His sheep – therefore:
“The Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things” (John 14:26).
I have His teachable spirit in me.
God gives grace to the humble (James 4:6)
Because Christ was God, (in the beginning – John 1:1, 4) He could be the Word of God. Because He had the life of God in Himself, He could be the Revealer of that life (to men) and so as the living Word, He is the life-giving Word.
By trusting the Holy Spirit, the written Word is quickened in me (not my wisdom) as the seed in which the life of the living Word lies hidden. God – Christ, God’s Word + the life of God = the Living Word (Christ) – the written Word – made alive in me by the Holy Spirit = life of the living Word (Christ) in me = the Word of life in me (Christ).
God makes Himself alive in me through His Words (Christ) being planted in me as a seed, which is “germinated” by the Holy Spirit (in the soil of the heart) – life comes only from God by His Living Word (Christ). With God’s life in me, His light shines in/from me. Christ is and has the life of God in Him, and God’s light only shines where Christ is.
Scripture is the bread of life – eat it (knowing God’s life is in it), and I become alive, and His life shines. Like all seed “after its kind,” it reproduces in me the very life of God and the very likeness and character of the Father and the Son through the Holy Spirit. It brings true knowledge into my heart – living knowledge.
To let this happen, in my Bible reading –“Be still and know (recognize, understand) that I am God.” Ps 46:10.
Take time to be quiet and to be aware of God – “Hold my peace at the presence of the Lord God.” Zep 1:7
“Be silent before the Lord” Zep 2:13 “
“But the Lord is in His holy temple. Let all the earth hush and be silent before Him,” (Hab 2:20)
Worship and wait on Him that He may speak to me. Remember that the Word comes out of the life, the heart of God carrying His Life to impart it to me so nothing less that the power of God can make it live in me.
"In Him was life [and the power to bestow life], and the life was the Light of men.” (John 1:4 AMP)
"He who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” (John 8:12)
Follow Jesus in love and longing desire, in obedience and service, and His life will work in me – His life will be the light of my soul.
It is no longer I who love, but Christ Jesus Who lives in me!
“Father, have Your Spirit make the Word in my heart living and active. Make me hungry for Your will as my daily food. Make me thirsty for the living spring of the Spirit within me. I receive the Word into my will, my life, and my joy – which brings the light to shine in me. Bring me understanding and the experience of this process fully as I surrender my life to it.”
The Word of God must be received into the life and not only the mind. The Word comes out of the Life of God. This Life is the light of men and gives the light of the knowledge of the glory of God.
Be patient and humble to let God work His lesson in me. Only the Spirit of God knows the things of God and can impart them into my life, through His Word, made alive as Christ and through Christ to be both light and life within me.

Finding Hope in Difficult Times
Why is it so difficult for our educators and society, in general, to understand that love and respect for one another taught from a young age can solve much of the world's hostility and social problems!
"Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it" (Prov 22:6).
Love is the answer!
True loyalty springs from the heart and is wrapped in love. It is often in our most private moments that true loyalty, or the lack of it, is made known.
